Pack 196 gathered for a special Pack Meeting night – a mini-Camporee! The evening included some great gathering activities, some crazy songs with Cubmaster Adam, and then the boys split into their dens and rotated through four camp related activities.
The camp themed activities included:
- Fire – Boy Scouts instructed the cubs about different types of fire and fire safety.
- Knots – Mr. Cameron jumped in and showed the boys how to tie several different knots. Thanks to Mr. Waters for jumping in with some rope as well!
- Weather – Mrs. Malick-Glaudel and Mrs. McKay showed the boys how to read thermometers, a barometer, and various other weather related tidbits.
- Tents – Mr. Snyder showed the boys how to select a good camping area, how put up a tent, and then turned the boys loose to put one up themselves.
At the end of the night Mr. Rabuck had a great closing with a Cubmaster minute, then the boys were turned loose for some nice s’mores snack coordinated by Mrs. Jackson.
Big thanks to everyone who contributed to the night and made it a fantastic success for all!\
