Who we are.

Cub Scout Pack 196 is a volunteer run, family friendly program for boys and girls in kindergarten through 5th grade, offering a fun, active, and character building Scouting experience. Through hands on activities, outdoor adventures, and teamwork, Scouts build confidence, learn leadership skills, and develop a strong sense of citizenship and community.

We are a welcoming and relaxed Pack that typically meets on Thursdays from 6:30–7:30 PM. Many meetings are held at the Presbyterian Church of Deep Run in the Perkasie/Bedminster area, and we also use parks, camps, and community locations for special activities and events.

Our families primarily come from the Pennridge School District, with additional Scouts from surrounding districts. New Scouts can join at any time of year, not just at the start of the school year.

Our Pack calendar highlights major events, outings, and special activities, giving families a great sense of what Scouting with Pack 196 is all about. Regular weekly meetings are not always listed individually.

Who Runs the Pack.

Scott MelideoCubmaster

Scott loves the outdoors and believes the best Scouting happens when kids are active, curious, and having fun. As a leader in our Pack, Scott focuses on creating an easygoing, welcoming environment where families feel involved, and kids genuinely look forward to coming, and dad jokes are included at no extra cost.

Brian GlennAsst. Cubmaster, Committee Member

Brian is dedicated to delivering a fun, inviting, and safe environment for families to gain value and the most enjoyment out of the scout program. Brian has an energetic and dynamic personality which is perfect for leading monthly Pack meetings and getting the children excited about scouting.

Cubmaster Qualifications: Is at least 21 years old and is registered as an adult leader of the BSA. Should be a leader who is able to communicate well with adults as well as children. Should be able to delegate responsibilities and set a good example through behavior, attitude, and uniform. Preferably a member of the chartered organization.

Gabriel VidoniCommittee Chair, Committee Member

Gabe serves as Committee Chair for Pack 196, helping guide the behind-the-scenes organization that keeps the Pack running smoothly. He works closely with leaders, parents, and scouts to support a fun, safe, and well-rounded program for all. Along with his wife and sons, Gabe enjoys being part of the Pack 196 community and helping every family get the most out of their Scouting experience.

Committee Chair Qualifications: must be at least 21 years old, be a person of good character, and be appointed by the chartered organization to oversee the pack committee. The chair must also be a registered adult leader with Youth Protection training and complete other required position-specific training. Key qualifications include the ability to communicate and recruit volunteers, supervise committee members, and maintain a close relationship with the chartered organization representative.

Paul BeanChartered Organization Rep

Paul is a leader at the host organization, the Presbyterian Church of Deep Run. He has volunteered to help shepherd the Pack as part of his love of scouting and strong history of community service.

COR Purpose: The chartered organization representative is the direct contact between the Scouting unit(s) and the chartered organization. This individual is also the organization’s contact with the district committee and the local council. The chartered organization representative may become a member of the district committee and is a voting member of the local council.
