Why Are We The Best?

Cub Scout Pack 196 has the best leadership available – the parents themselves! All the leaders have boys in the program and are dedicated to providing a top notch experience. It’s a labor of love.

Cub Scout Pack 196 is chartered by the Presbyterian Church of Deep Run. The PCDR is adamant about the quality of the program and making sure it is a loving and inclusive environment for everyone.

Cub Scout Pack 196 plans a full program that spans (for the most part) the school year. The Pack meets weekly and generally includes an activity every month: campouts, sleepovers at area attractions, hikes, sporting events, and service projects all spice up the program. Come to one of our meetings and check out the fun!

Learning Made Fun

Cub Scout Pack 196 makes learning fun for the boys by engaging in several fun outings every program year. The Pack has camped out overnight at Camden’s Adventure Aquarium, the Battleship New Jersey, and Philadelphia’s Franklin Institute to name just a few.

Fantastic Activities

Cub Scout Pack 196 conducts several races and organized games both at meeting nights as well as at special events. One of the most popular organized events each year is the famous Pinewood Derby where boys and their families construct small wooden cars from kits and then race them for trophies and prizes.
